Chapter 2

Two days passed and Rue was still asleep and that worried Mint. Maybe her sister was right, maybe she was in love with him and if he never woke up or if his amnesia was never cured, then he would never know how she felt about him.

One afternoon, Mint brought a tray of soup and water for Rue, but he was still asleep, and he would always murmur Claire's name in his sleep.

"Rue... its me Mint." Mint said, as she held his hand.

"Claire?" Rue asked as he opened his eyes.

"No... its Mint." Mint said again.

Rue finally woke up and looked around the room.

"Uh.. where am I?"

"You are in East Heaven at my castle." Mint said.

Rue looked at Mint and his head ached. Why did she look so familiar to him but he couldn't remember her?

"Who are you? Are you Claire?" Rue asked.

"No its me Princess Mint? The one who you couldn't stand because I was the bossy and selfish princess that you traveled with to get the (relic) in Carona? You saved Claire, but I didn't get my world domination." Mint said.

"Oh... I'm sorry. I don't remember you." Rue said.

"That's because you have amnesia and you lost your memory." Mint said.

"Oh..."

After that, Claire barged into the bedroom.

"Claire! You're here, oh thank goodness." Mint said.

"I got your sister's letter. Rue... are you alright? Do you remember me?" Claire asked him.

"Are you Claire?" Rue asked.

"Yes... do you remember me?"

Rue smiled. "I kind of remember you. Did you save me the night I woke up or something?"

"Yes yes! That was me! Oh Rue!" Claire said, as she embraced him in a hug.

Mint stood there and smiled. But she felt jealous, she knew that he would always be with Claire and that made Mint feel like she should never tell him how she feels.

She walked out of the bedroom and closed the door behind her and slowly cried.

"Oh Rue... if you only knew how much I love you..."
